2018 Days of the Old West Rodeo

Grand Marshall

Denny Moody

Dennis Moody and his twin sister, Venice were born in Ogden, Utah. His growing up years were spent in Deseret, riding his horse and helping his Dad on the farm.

He attended every “Days of the Old West Rodeo” when it was held in Deseret for many years even getting to clown around with the clowns.

Upon graduating he married his high school sweetheart, Joyce Shields and they moved to Salt Lake City while he attended Salt Lake Community College which was located on 6th South at that time.

They moved back to the Delta area in 1965 and he worked as a mechanic for several years. He owned and operated the Master Muffler shop from 1976 to 1996. During this time he was also a Delta volunteer fireman enjoying the guys he served with and helping those in bad situations. He also farmed and raised a few cows.

Dennis and his wife are the parents of four sons and two daughters, Rick and Brynn Moody, Ron and Cindy Moody, Bryce and Ginger Moody, and Brad and Shannon Moody, Deb and Kelly Jenkins, and Laura and Wege Schena.

Their heritage also includes 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. He loves spending time with any or all of this big fun family.

He was so happy when the “Days of the Old West Rodeo” was started again in the area and has attended nearly every show since its return.

Dennis is honored to represent Millard County as the Grand Marshall of the 2018 rodeo. He wishes to thank all of the residents of Millard County, the best county in the state.
